Court in Kagadi Remands 24-Year-Old for Damaging Police Vehicle

Court in Kagadi has remanded a 24-year-old, Adam Komujuni, to Mambugu Government Prison in Kagadi until January 17 on charges of stoning and damaging a police vehicle in Muhooro Town Council.

Komujuni, a resident of Nyankoma Village in Muhooro Town Council, Kagadi, is accused of standing by the roadside and stoning police patrol vehicle number UP 9454 in late December last year.

The court in Kagadi, presided over by His Worship Edward Kawuki, heard that on December 29, 2024, Adam Komujuni, a resident of Nyankoma Cell in Muhooro Town Council, Kagadi District, stoned the police patrol vehicle, causing damage.

“On December 29, 2024, you, Adam Komujuni, while in Muhooro, stoned the police patrol vehicle, which is a case of malicious damage,” Justice Kawuki read the charge.

Komujuni accepted the charges preferred against him but could not be sentenced since the state prosecutor was absent.

This prompted the magistrate to adjourn the matter until January 17, 2025, for a case mention and eventual sentencing if Komujuni continues to plead guilty to the charges.
