Kampala Metropolitan Police is investigating the death of a man in Nateete, a Kampala suburb, believed to have been stabbed by a commercial sex worker.

Ronald Kintu, aka Rasta, from Ssumbwe Bulenga in Wakiso District, died from stab wounds inflicted at Mabiito, a red light district in Nateete.

The Met Police deputy police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, said the deceased got into a misunderstanding with a sex worker leading to a fight in which he was killed.

The suspect was arrested is currently being detained at Nateete Police Station as investigations continue.

"The suspect is said to be a sex worker and members of the public only saw Rasta with a wound and bleeding heavily,’’ says Owoyesigyire.

The body has been conveyed to city mortuary as investigations continue,

Sex workers operate illegally, however those in the trade continue with it under the cover of darkness and there are known streets in Kampala city where they operate.
