Texol Energies Launches Namasuba Station, Awards Motorcycles to Boda-Boda Riders
On August 15th, 2024, Texol Energies officially opened its new Namasuba Station on Entebbe Road, a significant milestone in its expansion efforts. The event highlighted the company’s dedication to supporting Uganda’s transport sector, particularly the boda-boda community.
One of the event's main attractions was awarding brand-new motorcycles to five committed boda-boda riders from Kyebando (Kalerwe), Lubiri, Mutundwe, Jinja, and Namusera. These riders were celebrated for their loyalty and service to their communities.

Speaking on the occasion, Tonny Kosha, Group Marketing Manager at Texol Energies, said, "Our boda-boda riders are the pulse of Uganda’s streets. By honouring them with these motorcycles, we’re not just celebrating their loyalty—we’re driving forward our vision for a cashless economy."
The newly launched Namasuba Station stands out with its modern design, featuring a dedicated fuel pump for boda-boda riders and a fully stocked supermarket that caters to the local community's needs.

Texol Energies also introduced its innovative mobile app with the Texpay feature, which allows users to pay for fuel directly from their phones, making the fueling process more convenient and efficient.
In addition to these advancements, Texol Energies announced a partnership with the Uganda Taxi Operators Federation (UTOF). This collaboration led to the launch of the Texol Fuel Card, which offers taxi operators a savings of 50 UGX per litre, redeemable as fuel at the end of each month.
Addressing the gathering, Texol Energies' Managing Director, Abdallah Mohammed, emphasized the importance of mutual loyalty between the company and its customers. "We ask you to pledge your allegiance to us as we do ours; we shall reward your loyalty with all the services we have," he stated. He also announced an upcoming football match between the taxi and boda-boda communities, fully funded by Texol Energies, to be aired live on NBS Sport.
