NIRA Launches Nationwide Mobile Registration for Citizens Without National IDs
The outreach runs until November 23
NIRA has launched a countrywide campaign to register Ugandans who do not have National IDs, bringing the registration services to subcounty level.
This effort is in line with the Registration of Persons Act Cap 332, which mandates NIRA to ensure all citizens are registered.
Osborn Mushabe, NIRA's Manager for Public Relations and Corporate Affairs, announced the initiative via X, formerly known as Twitter, urging unregistered citizens to take advantage of the mobile registration services.
The outreach will run until November 23, with LC1 chairpersons responsible for informing residents when the mobile teams will be in their areas.
For additional information, residents can contact their LC1 Chairpersons or visit their nearest NIRA office.
