China's first Hydrogen Energy Smart Intercity EMU launched
The vehicle is powered by hydrogen and achieves "zero carbon" emissions throughout the entire journey. Its key performances such as operating speed, passenger carrying capacity, and cruising range are superior to similar international products. It will inject new impetus into the green upgrade of non-electrified railway passenger transport equipment.
China's first hydrogen energy smart intercity EMU CINOVA H2 was officially released on September 24 at the Berlin International Rail Transit Technology Exhibition.
The vehicle is powered by hydrogen and achieves "zero carbon" emissions throughout the entire journey. Its key performances such as operating speed, passenger carrying capacity, and cruising range are superior to similar international products. The train has the longest cruising range in the world, reaching 1,200 kilometers when running at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour, 2,000 kilometers at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and 3,000 kilometers at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. At the same time, the hydrogenation speed is fast, and it only takes 15 minutes for the train to be filled with hydrogen. In terms of passenger capacity, the passenger capacity has been improved through the lightweight body and the intensive design of the passenger compartment. The maximum passenger capacity of the entire train exceeds 1,000 people.
The vehicle has "zero" carbon emissions throughout its journey and does not produce any air pollutants. The train's innovative recycling technology turns waste water and waste heat into treasure. The water discharged by the hydrogen fuel cell reaction is purified and recycled to meet the water needs of passengers for washing and other purposes, effectively saving water. The cooling waste heat of the hydrogen fuel cell is recycled and used for air conditioning and heating in winter, which is more green and environmentally friendly.
As China's first hydrogen energy smart intercity EMU, CINOVA H2 has a wide range of application scenarios and can be used in non-electrified railway areas at home and abroad to replace traditional internal combustion-powered vehicles. At the same time, its significant green and environmental protection advantages will effectively promote the new upgrade of non-electrified railway passenger transport equipment.
