Next Media Uganda recently welcomed Mr. Omer Aykon, the Country Coordinator of Tika Kampala, for an insightful visit to discuss potential partnerships and explore avenues for mutual growth through one of its key brands, Salam TV Uganda.

 

During his comprehensive tour of Next Media, Mr. Aykon engaged with key leadership, including Desire Mugumisa, Head of Corporate Affairs, and Hajji Karim Kaliisa, Managing Director of Salam Charity and Salam TV, among other team members. This tour provided a deep dive into Next Media's operations, highlighting the company's capabilities and vision.

 

Following the tour, Mr. Aykon met with Deputy CEO Joe Kigozi to delve into potential collaborations between Tika Turkiye and Next Media, particularly in media and development sectors. The discussion focused on how Salam TV and Salam Charity could be pivotal in driving positive social change.

 

Joe Kigozi underscored Salam TV’s importance as a dynamic brand within the Next Media family, noting its strong community connections through Salam Charity. He expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "Next Media is here to stay, and with Tika as a partner, we are excited to embark on numerous impactful projects together."

 

Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Omer Aykon affirmed Tika's commitment to this partnership, stating, "Even as I leave Uganda, Tika remains committed to fostering close collaboration with Salam TV in various developmental initiatives."

 

Additionally, Hajji Karim Kaliisa discussed an upcoming media training program in Turkey, expressing hope that Next Media team members would be consindered for participation.
