Rotary Foundation Delivers Lifeline to Ugandan Mothers and Children

These collaborations are crucial to ensuring that the equipment is not only delivered but also maintained and utilized effectively to maximize its impact on health outcomes.
The Rotary Foundation, in partnership with Bulamu Healthcare, Rotary Club of Kampala Central is set to distribute essential medical equipment to 67 health centres across seven districts in Uganda. This distribution marks the first delivery under the Maternal Child Health (MCH) Global Grant, a project dedicated to improving maternal and child health outcomes in Uganda. The equipment will be officially handed over on Tuesday at the Joint Medical Store (JMS).
This Global Grant project, valued at $245,200, is an initiative of The Rotary Foundation, aimed at addressing the critical needs in maternal and child health care. The equipment to be distributed includes oxygen concentrators, weighing scales, and warmers, all crucial for the care of mothers and newborns. The initial delivery will benefit 12 health centres, with further distributions planned to reach the remaining facilities.
