Most schools dont meet fire safety standards: Police
Police have said most schools around the country have failed to meet the necessary standards of preventing and ensuring fire safety systems among schools.
According to Elly Walusimbi, the community liaison officer at the Police Fire and Rescue Services directorate, most schools lack equipment like fire extinguishers, motion sensors, education programs on fires among staff and learners as well as sprinkling systems that cast out fire incase of fire outbreaks.
