Supremacy Lounge witnessed the electrifying finale of the Real DJ Scratch Battle Season 3, powered by Smirnoff. The grand showdown served as a platform to spotlight emerging and underground deejaying talent that forms the heartbeat of Uganda’s vibrant nightlife scene.
Eleven contestants converged to battle for the coveted Scratchmaster title in intense five-minute elimination rounds. JX Deejay emerged victorious in dramatic fashion after the knob on his mixer broke mid-set during the final round.
Demonstrating exceptional skill, composure, and showmanship, he improvised seamlessly to secure the title and walk away with the grand prize of Shs5 million.
The first runner-up, Mr. Genius, also delivered a strong performance and earned Shs3 million, courtesy of Smirnoff.
“As Smirnoff, we believe that a great night out is only as good as the person behind the decks,” said Raymond Karama, Smirnoff Brand Manager. “This battle is a celebration of those who aren’t afraid to be bold and do things their own way as we look to elevate underground talent onto the grand stage.”
Contestants travelled from across the country to participate, including Soroti’s Yung Swag and Lira’s DJ Tompoo, the 2025 Northern Best DJ, who arrived with a delegation of 50 supporters from Northern Uganda.
The competition also highlighted the growing presence of female talent in Uganda’s deejaying industry. Galaxy FM’s DJ Roshian and MM Media’s DJ Sham impressed audiences, with the latter making a courageous and energetic on-stage mixing debut early in the evening.
The high-stakes contest unfolded under the watchful eyes of an expert judging panel comprising NTV’s DJ Easy Samuel, Galaxy FM’s DJ Herbert, DJay Denno, and DJ Magic Switch.
The opening round eliminated three contestants, setting the stage for a series of head-to-head battles in the second round. As the competition intensified, Smirnoff Ice helped keep the atmosphere lively throughout the night.
By the final showdown, only two DJs remained in contention. Several contestants who had fallen short in Season 2 returned determined to redeem themselves, adding an extra layer of excitement and rivalry to the competition.
After being crowned Scratchmaster, JX Deejay received an additional $300 cash bonus from DJ Gadgets. Meanwhile, MM Media rewarded female DJ Nelly Rwaxy with a brand-new DJ controller after she emerged winner of the quiz and trivia segment.
The event celebrated the passion, creativity, and raw talent that continue to drive Uganda’s deejaying scene, with Smirnoff once again providing a platform for the country’s next generation of entertainment stars.
