In his speech, Ogwang emphasized that President Museveni is the only proven and dedicated leader capable of leading the country, claiming there are no viable alternatives to him.
The minister also expressed concern over the presence of NUP wave in Busoga and urged the local population not to side with the opposition party if they want good leadership.
"This country is not for people to try, and I know these chaps (NUP) are running up and down, and they are beginning to come to Busoga. There's no trial in that seat (Presidency) by the way. Never risk to try in that seat. You can try in Ogwang being a member of Parliament, being a councilor, Chairman LCV..but never ever play with trying anyone in that seat because the consequences are there," Ogwang said.
He also commended Museveni for leading the bid for the Pamoja AFCON 2027, which will be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
"When we talk of AFCON 2027, the whole of East Africa got that bid because of a tasted, committed leader who is in Uganda. He is the one who asked us on behalf of East Africa to get this bid," Ogwang said.
He added, "Now, you want to tell me that by 2027, this young man, this tested man, his experienced driver should not be in the driving seat?. Look at the options we have."
On the other hand, Ogwang commended Busoga people for taking the President's 4-acre farming model very seriously and it's reaping dividends.
