Kabaka Mutebi acknowledges greetings from his subjects inside Namboole Stadium on Saturday

Adding to the grandeur, the Kabaka of Buganda, King Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, attended the final alongside Crown Prince Wasajja and Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga.

Namboole Stadium was abuzz as Buddu County secured their third Masaza Cup title, defeating first-time finalists Kyaggwe 1-0 in a thrilling match that drew thousands of passionate fans.

The game’s decisive moment came in the 22nd minute when Mike Walaga headed in a powerful goal, setting Buddu on the path to victory.

Despite Kyaggwe’s relentless pressure, Buddu’s goalkeeper, Marvin Ssebirago, held firm, making crucial saves that kept his team in the lead and secured a clean sheet.

Adding to the grandeur, the Kabaka of Buganda, King Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, attended the final alongside Crown Prince Wasajja and Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga.

The Kabaka personally awarded the trophy to Buddu, enhancing the pride and jubilation of their fans.

Celebrations continued in the Pilsner King party section, where fans enjoyed drinks at an affordable Shs2,000. Masaka’s DJ Suuna Ben, along with performers Karole Kasita and DJ Aly Breezy, electrified the crowd, making it a memorable day of both victory and entertainment.
