Bwera Secondary School is enveloped in grief following the tragic death of Sulaina Nabasirye, a Senior Four candidate, on Monday night.
Nabasirye had just completed her first Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exam earlier that day when she met her untimely demise.

However, her evening took a tragic turn when she was suddenly struck by a severe headache.
Her condition deteriorated rapidly, prompting immediate transport to Bwera General Hospital for emergency treatment.
Despite the swift actions of her teachers and medical personnel, Nabasirye was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. Her unexpected passing has cast a pall over the entire school community.
At the hospital, anguished wailing echoed as students, parents, and staff gathered in disbelief at the loss of one of their own. Friends and classmates described her as a bright and promising student with a hopeful future ahead.
"We were all looking forward to finishing our exams together," said one devastated classmate. "No one expected something like this to happen."
School authorities and medical professionals are investigating the cause of Nabasirye’s sudden illness and death.
Initial reports suggest it may have been a medical emergency triggered by underlying health conditions, with further inquiries underway to determine the exact cause.
Birungi Solomon, the senior man teacher at Bwera Secondary School, expressed heartfelt condolences to Nabasirye’s family.
"We are heartbroken by this tragic loss. Sulaina was an exemplary student, and her death has left a void in our school. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this incredibly difficult time."
