The Prime Minister of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has made a courtesy call on Kyabazinga William Nadiope at the Igenge Palace.

The visit, on Friday, marks the beginning of Mayiga's three-day tour in Busoga, where he is expected to engage with youth leaders from various Nkoba za Mbogo associations and Baganda residents in the region.

Mayiga was received by Baganda youth at the Source of the Nile Bridge, where he addressed them briefly before proceeding to the palace in Bugembe.

At the palace, Busoga Kingdom Premier Joseph Muvawala welcomed Mayiga and his delegation.

Muvawala was accompanied by several Busoga Kingdom ministers, including Owek Yudaya Nabirye (Kyabazinga Affairs) and James Mukembo (Youth).

Mayiga and his team were later greeted by Kyabazinga Nadiope inside the palace. The two leaders held a private meeting, followed by lunch, and subsequently made public remarks.

Katikkiro Mayiga's visit aims to strengthen ties between Buganda and Busoga Kingdoms, fostering cooperation and understanding between the two regions.

As the Prime Minister of Buganda Kingdom, Mayiga plays a vital role in promoting the kingdom's interests and building relationships with other kingdoms and regions.

The visit is also seen as an opportunity for Mayiga to engage with the youth and Baganda community in Busoga, listening to their concerns and sharing his vision for the kingdom's development.
