Speaker of Parliament was sanctioned for allowing the enaction of the Anti-Homosexuality law under the guise of corruption which they could not prove even after the President wrote to them requesting proof that the speaker owned a house in the UK!

The Symbolic Power of Protests: The march to Parliament was undoubtedly a powerful symbolic act. It demonstrated the public's dissatisfaction and united various groups in a common cause. Despite the challenges, Mawerere expressed optimism about the resilience and adaptability of Ugandan traders. "We have faced disruptions before, and each time, our traders find ways to adapt.
