Two students have been confirmed dead following a road accident involving a Kenya-bound Bebeto Services coach bus along the Jinja–Kayunga Highway.
Kayunga Acting Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Solomon Baleke said the incident occurred at 6PM in Seeta Village, Seeta-Nyiize Parish, Kangulumira Subcounty.
Preliminary reports indicate the bus struck three schoolboys riding a motorcycle while returning home from Kangulumira Public Secondary School.
One boy died instantly at the scene, and another succumbed to injuries on the way to Kangulumira Health Centre IV.
The third boy survived and is receiving medical treatment at the same health facility.
Authorities have towed the bus to Kangulumira Town Council Police Station as investigations into the cause of the crash continue.
