Kitara FC has announced the signing of three key players, including striker Shaban Muhammad, as the club intensifies its push for the Uganda Premier League title.
During the unveiling, the club introduced Shaban Muhammad, Living Kabon, and Edson Agondeze from Buhimba Saints. Kitara FC CEO Joshua Atugonza emphasized that the new acquisitions are part of a broader strategy to strengthen the squad and compete for multiple trophies.
“It’s nothing new for Kitara to win trophies. We lifted the Stanbic Cup and represented Uganda in Libya. Now, our ambition is to win the league and make a mark on the continent,” Atugonza said.
He also called on fans to continue supporting the club, promising that the team is determined to deliver joy and silverware.
“All fans want are trophies. Shaban hit us twice in the past and helped us escape critical leagues. Now he’s here to lead the charge and exact revenge on our rivals,” Atugonza added.
Shaban Muhammad, the club’s headline signing, expressed excitement about joining Kitara.
“My role is to score goals and give the fans joy. Kitara is a big team with an amazing fan base, and I’ve joined a winning team,” he said.
Living Kabon, who has returned to the club, described Kitara as “home.”
“I used to get a lot of calls from the club, and Kitara is always in my blood. I had to make the bold decision to come back,” Kabon stated.
With these reinforcements, Kitara FC is clearly signalling its intent to challenge for the top spot in the Uganda Premier League and deliver memorable moments for its fans.
