MultiChoice Uganda has said SuperSport, the continent’s leading sports broadcaster  will provide comprehensive coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including dedicated 24-hour World Cup channels, multiple language commentary options, and simultaneous match coverage to ensure fans do not miss any action.

The company also unveiled special decorder offers for new customers.

“The FIFA World Cup is more than just a tournament; it is a shared global moment,” said Hassan Saleh, Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Uganda.

With dedicated World Cup channels, multi-platform access, and continuous coverage, SuperSport will once again be the home of the biggest sporting event in the world,” he said.

From June 11 to July 19, 2026, the FIFA World Cup will take centre stage as the world’s biggest football tournament.

The tournament, hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, will feature 48 national teams, expanded fixtures, and high-stakes rivalries across 39 days of action.

According to MultiChoice Uganda,customers on DStv Access and GOtv Plus and above will  enjoy live coverage of every match on SuperSport.

The broadcaster also announced promotional decoder and installation packages for viewers ahead of the tournament.

DStv Standard decoders will retail at shs20,000, Zapper decoders at shs15,000, Explora units at shs 559,000, and full installation kits at shs45,000. The offer runs from May 11 to August 31, 2026.

GOtv decoders (Gotenna) will also be available at shs15,000 during the same promotional period.

DStv and GOtv customers will have access to all 104 World Cup matches, broadcast live over the tournament period, alongside dedicated SuperSport channels that will be temporarily rebranded for the competition. A special FIFA World Cup pop-up channel will also be available.

Beyond live matches, viewers will access highlights, expert analysis, magazine shows, African football features, and behind-the-scenes content delivered through a Pan-African perspective, with commentary in multiple languages.

Fans will also be able to watch matches via live TV, Catch Up, replays, and streaming services, allowing flexible viewing across devices.

From living rooms to mobile screens, broadcasters say the World Cup experience will travel with fans.

“This is more than football. It is nights that turn into mornings, goals that stop time, and moments you will talk about forever,” the statement added.
