Standard Chartered Concludes 10-Year Goal Programme

Standard Chartered Bank has concluded its decade-long Goal Program, an initiative designed to empower girls and young women with life skills, financial literacy, and economic opportunities.
The programme, which has had a transformative impact on participants and communities, celebrated its closure with plans for sustainability and ongoing support.

“This initiative has not only transformed individual lives but entire communities. With an investment of over Shs.2 billion in Uganda, we are proud to have created a strong foundation for young women to thrive,” he said.
Focus on the Future
Although the Goal Program has concluded, Standard Chartered plans to pivot to other impactful areas, such as financial inclusion, climate literacy, and green jobs.
