At least two children have been killed and 12 others hospitalised after a lightning strike on the evening of June 7 at Akorikeya Primary School in Amudat District
The Karamoja Police spokesperson Mike Longole said bodies of the deceased are currently at Amudat Hospital mortuary, awaiting post-mortem examination.
The authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
"The police and emergency services are working together to provide support to the affected families," Longole told Nile Post.
