The Corporate Games initiative continues to grow as a platform that promotes teamwork, wellness and interaction among corporate institutions, while using sport as a unifying tool.

In her address, Kagingo highlighted the importance of translating the drive for gender equality in boardrooms into personal resilience and discipline in everyday life.

“Today is a special occasion as we dedicate this kick-off to Women’s Month. In the boardroom, we often speak of breaking the glass ceiling, but today on this pitch we are here to demonstrate that a corporate woman is a leader in resilience, physical discipline and team spirit,” she said.

She also commended the Corporate Games for its commitment to corporate social responsibility, citing its outreach initiatives that support expectant mothers through the provision of mama kits at health centres in Gulu and Nawandala in Iganga District.

“What truly sets this league apart is its heart. It is not merely a collection of trophies but a centre of tangible impact. The proceeds from sweat during the annual corporate run have a direct destination in the lives of expectant mothers,” Kagingo noted.

The event marked a significant step in promoting inclusivity and empowerment within Uganda’s corporate sector, with organisers emphasizing the role of sport in strengthening professional networks and fostering holistic development.
