According to Dr David Kiiza Ssemambo, the PFF flagbearer for Mityana Municipality, the mobilization drive aims to create a solid organizational foundation capable of delivering electoral victory at both parliamentary and local levels.

He revealed that the party has successfully fielded candidates in nearly every local council position — a move he said demonstrates growing confidence and internal organization within the party.

Party officials noted that this effort is part of a broader national strategy to expand PFF’s visibility and grassroots reach, particularly in regions long dominated by the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and the National Unity Platform (NUP).

Local political observers say the increasing activity of emerging parties like PFF could reshape Mityana’s political dynamics ahead of the 2026 elections.

The district, known for its politically vibrant youth population and competitive multiparty environment, could see new alliances and shifting voter loyalties.

“The people of Mityana are eager for change and fresh ideas,” Dr. Ssemambo added. “That is why we are investing in solid party structures to keep our message alive and our supporters motivated all the way to election day.”

With political temperatures rising nationwide, PFF’s sustained grassroots organization in Mityana underscores its determination to challenge the established order and secure a stronger foothold in Uganda’s 2026 polls.
