NRM to Conduct Fresh Internal Elections in Disputed Constituencies on Monday
The ruling National Resistance Movement has announced fresh party primaries in several districts after its elections tribunal nullified earlier results over irregularities and disenfranchisement.

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) will hold fresh internal elections on Monday, September 8, 2025, in constituencies where the party’s elections dispute tribunal nullified earlier results.

According to the NRM Electoral Commission Chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi, the new polls are necessary because some constituencies currently lack parliamentary flag bearers following the tribunal’s rulings.
