University leaders asked to emulate Museveni's patience
The NRM Secretary General, Richard Todwong has implored uniersity student leaders to emulate President Museveni's patience in their leadership.
“The 38 years of NRM are not by mistake. No, our leader (President Museveni) is always very patient and consultative to ensure good decisions. This is a lesson you should learn today not to panic,” Todwong said.

He was speaking at Makerere University during a one-day training of university guild leaders on patriotism and good governance among young people.
The training was organized by the Directorate of Youth and Institutions at the NRM Secretariat.
He said patience is a virtue that these leaders must have in whatever they do.
“This is how we have avoided mistakes that befall other countries,” Todwong said.

The NRM Secretary General also implored the young leaders to have discipline, humility, and respect for leaders and peers.
“Be humble and flexible to fit into any environment after education.”
He also urged the young leaders to never tolerate corruption, that he said is a vice that has eaten up the country to the marrow.
“We should be bitter about the subject of corruption. Speak firmly about corruption. It is the biggest problem we have as a government not opposition. The people are tired of us because of the stealing of public resources by a few. We need to advocate for a future where wearing yellow is admirable,” Todwong said.
The event was attended by the NRM patron at Makerere University Prof. Elia Hisali among others.
