The deputy president of FDC, Margaret Wokui Madanda expressed concern over the country’s failure to manage garbage citing the need for change since the NRM government has failed to fix a small issue like a landfill.
"How can the whole country fail to manage garbage to the extent that it claims people's lives as if we have no leaders? It's a shame and also sad to live in a country where locals die because of poor garbage management,"Madanda said.
Edris Ngobi ,the FDC mobiliser in Buikwe District said they are looking at improving the strength of their party through the digital registration system.
At the event, several members from other parties crossed to FDC, including Lugazi Municipality chairperson Lujatan Khemis from NUP and Sironko district NRM vice chairperson Isaac Mudebo.
