Muntu condemned the propaganda targeting individual players within the opposition as undermining the cause.

“It gives no merit to the struggle to treat with contempt the conduct of individual players or their efforts against the repressive regime” he remarked.

Muntu, a former president for Forum for Democratic Change left and formed the Alliance for National Transformation.

Some experts say his rift with FDC could jeopardise the alliance.

Muntu disagreed: “We just need organized politics based on values, common objective, issue based, shift from politics of individualism and deception. It is something we’re focusing on” he ardently submitted.

On whether, he intends to run for president Muntu said the struggle priorities joint causes.

“It is deliberate that we don’t want to go into looking for someone on top because our belief is that the momentum to that will enable the flag bearer at the top is from the structures on ground where our focus is now”, he said.
