Speaking during the meeting, Brig Gen Rukundo said the study was intended to evaluate member satisfaction with loans, projects, and services offered by the SACCO, while also identifying areas requiring improvement to enhance service delivery.

“We want members to benefit meaningfully from the SACCO through proper financial planning, responsible borrowing, and strategic investment,” he said.

The exercise involved the distribution of questionnaires to representatives, who responded to questions concerning SACCO policies, achievements, future prospects, and challenges affecting operations and member services.

Brig Gen Rukundo also explained the leadership structure of the SACCO, outlining the responsibilities of members of the Annual General Meeting (AGM), the management team, the Board of Directors, and the Supervisory Board.

He thanked soldiers for actively participating in the survey and encouraged them to continue supporting the SACCO and utilising its services effectively to improve their financial stability and accumulate wealth.

During the sensitisation, Brig Gen Rukundo cautioned soldiers against poor financial planning and misuse of loans, noting that inadequate financial calculations often lead to unnecessary expenditure and financial difficulties.

Meanwhile, Colonel Moses Musinguzi, who also serves as Director of Political Commissariat in SFC, urged soldiers to embrace a saving culture through Wazalendo SACCO.

Col Musinguzi said saving should be approached strategically to enable soldiers build capital for future investments and income-generating activities, rather than treating it merely as an obligation.

The meeting was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Kagaba, Commanding Officer of the Field Engineering Brigade; Major Newton Namazima, Vice Chairperson of the Supervisory Board; SFC Wazalendo SACCO delegates; senior and junior officers; as well as Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs).
