Senior Presidential Advisor Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo has flagged off over 1,000 boda boda riders in Kampala to mobilise residents ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.

The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, has flagged off more than 1,000 boda boda riders from across the Kampala Metropolitan area to mobilise residents ahead of President Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony scheduled for tomorrow at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.

The mobilisation drive comes as anticipation continues to build across the country ahead of the national event, which is expected to attract thousands of Ugandans from different regions.

The colourful flag-off ceremony drew hundreds of NRM supporters, youth mobilisers, and boda boda leaders, who pledged to intensify their mobilisation efforts in the final hours before the ceremony.

The riders, who will operate across various divisions of Kampala and surrounding areas, are expected to play a central role in spreading information and rallying public participation for the national function.

Speaking during the flag-off, Hajjat Namyalo described the swearing-in ceremony as a national event for all Ugandans, regardless of political, religious, or social background, emphasising that President Museveni serves the entire country.

“This event is for every Ugandan. We invite all citizens to come and witness this important national function as President Museveni begins another term of leadership,” Namyalo said.

She praised the boda boda fraternity for their continued involvement in government mobilisation efforts, describing them as an important channel for community engagement and socio-economic transformation messaging.

Following the flag-off, the riders, carrying NRM flags and posters of President Museveni, moved in procession through different parts of Kampala as they continued mobilisation activities ahead of the ceremony.

Meanwhile, preparations at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds are in the final stages, with dignitaries, government officials, diplomats, and regional representatives already arriving in the country for the swearing-in ceremony.

Security has also been strengthened around Kololo and key access routes as authorities complete final arrangements for the national event.
