Rotary District 9214 has concluded its 101st Conference and Assembly with a high-profile leadership handover, recognition of outstanding clubs, and renewed calls for service, as leaders highlight the organisation’s growing impact in health, education, and community development.

Rotary District 9214 brought its flagship annual gathering to a close with a ceremonial Royal Governors Ball that combined celebration, recognition, and a significant leadership transition within the movement.

At the centre of the event was the official handover of office from outgoing District Governor Christine Kawooya Kyeyune to incoming District Governor Daniel Mukasa Ddamulira. The transition marked a continuation of Rotary’s long-standing commitment to community service across the district.

Delivering remarks at the close of the conference, the Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, commended District 9214 for its measurable impact in communities, particularly in the sectors of health and education.

“The work you do speaks directly to the needs of our people,” Mayiga said, urging Rotarians to sustain collaboration and innovation in addressing societal challenges.
