Applicants seeking UK visas in Uganda can now access a new premium application centre in Entebbe, following an expansion of services by VFS Global aimed at improving convenience and reducing travel requirements for customers.
The new centre allows applicants to book appointments online and submit their visa applications, including enrolment of biometrics, without having to travel to Kampala.
Customers can book appointments through https://visa.vfsglobal.com/uga/en/gbr to access the new facility.
The Entebbe Premium Application Centre complements the existing Visa Application Centre located at Plot No. 42, Wing C, 2nd Floor, Lugogo House along the Lugogo Bypass in Kampala, which has been operational since October 2024.
According to VFS Global, the expansion is designed to meet the growing demand for outbound travel from Uganda to the United Kingdom while improving service accessibility.
Speaking on the development, Mr. Adin Jaisinghani, Regional Head for East and South Africa at VFS Global, said the new centre is intended to bring services closer to applicants.
“We are pleased to expand access to UK visa services in Uganda through our Premium Application Centre in Entebbe, providing customers the convenience of applying closer to home,” he said. “Residents no longer need to travel to Kampala to submit their visa applications and enrol biometrics while enjoying the same comfort, convenience, and best-in-class service.”
Applicants using the Entebbe centre will also benefit from additional value-added services, including document upload assistance and application status notification services.
VFS Global noted that Premium Application Centre customers will have access to enhanced support designed to streamline the application process and improve overall service delivery.
The company has served as a partner to UK Visas and Immigration since 2003. It previously offered visa services in 58 countries and was later awarded a global contract in 2023 to provide UK visa services in 142 countries worldwide.
The expansion is expected to ease access to visa services in Uganda while improving efficiency and customer experience for applicants.
