Kin Kariisa Challenges Rotaractors to 'Serve Beyond the Club'

By | April 8, 2026

The Club President Kin Kariisa made his official President’s Visit to the Rotaract Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf—affectionately regarded as  their “baby club.” The event attracted Rotaractors from sister clubs, creating a vibrant platform for mentorship and inspiration.

In his keynote address, Kariisa challenged members to “serve above the club,” urging them to focus beyond titles and affiliations and to make meaningful impacts in their communities.

“Service should not be confined within club boundaries,” he emphasized. “It must extend into communities where it is needed most.”

He also highlighted the importance of personal branding, reminding young leaders to present themselves authentically and consistently. “Your name is your brand,” Kariisa said, emphasizing that leadership today requires clarity, purpose, and intentionality.

Kariisa encouraged Rotaractors to embrace advocacy and self-empowerment, stand up for their rights, and lead with courage. “Leadership is not passive—it demands awareness, courage, and the willingness to challenge the status quo,” he added.

Perhaps the most resonant message was Kariisa’s call for deliberate action: “Do not drift through opportunities. Be clear about your purpose and pursue it with conviction.”

The visit ended on a high note, leaving Rotaractors energized and reinforcing the bonds between the Rotary and Rotaract communities. For many, the key takeaway was clear: leadership is about serving with vision, courage, and purpose, not just holding a position.
