Bulemeezi FC Unveils New Committee Ahead of 2026 Masaza Cup Campaign

Bulemeezi FC has unveiled a new committee to steer the team’s preparations for the Buganda Masaza Cup 2026 campaign.

The committee was introduced at the county headquarters in Bbowa, Luweero District, with the ceremony presided over by County Chief Ronald Mulondo, who expressed confidence in the team’s ability to bounce back after last season’s disappointing performance.

“Although we did not perform well last season, I strongly believe this new committee has the ability to turn things around and bring victory back to Bulemeezi,” Mulondo said.

He also rallied the community to offer both moral and financial support to strengthen the team’s competitiveness.

Long-serving patron Frank Mutalaga retained his role, while Jonathan Yiga was appointed chairman of the new committee.

Mutalaga pledged renewed commitment to rebuilding the squad’s competitive edge ahead of the tournament.

“We are fully committed to ensuring that Bulemeezi FC becomes a strong and competitive side again. The struggle has begun with signing players from different Masaza teams because our target is clear—winning the 2026 Masaza Cup,” he said.

Yiga emphasised teamwork and discipline as key pillars for success.

“This committee is ready to work together to ensure proper organisation and deliver results,” he noted.

Bulemeezi County has previously won the Masaza Cup three times—in 2012, 2019, and 2023—giving leaders confidence that the team can reclaim its glory. The 2026 tournament is expected to run from June to October.

Other committee members include Juma Kasolo (Chairman Administration), Lukia Tebesigwa (Vice Chairperson Administration), Patrick Kaweesi (Secretary), Lydia Najjuma (Treasurer), Mutumba Moses (Security), Innocent Mugabo (Team Manager), and Emmanuel Mugeere (Publicity), among others.
