By | March 20, 2026

President Museveni has called on Muslims to focus on wealth creation and job generation as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In his Eid message to the Muslim community, Museveni congratulated believers upon successfully completing the fasting period and commended them for their sacrifices, prayers, and acts of charity during Ramadan.

The President encouraged Muslims to maintain the discipline and values practiced during the holy month and apply them to productive work aimed at improving livelihoods and supporting their families.

“This godly foundation should cultivate the necessary discipline and strength for you to continue working hard to create wealth and jobs for your families,” Museveni said.

He highlighted commercial agriculture, industry, services, and information and communication technology as key sectors that can drive wealth creation and employment.

Museveni further noted that the virtues learned during Ramadan should continue to guide believers beyond the fasting period, as Muslims across Uganda join the rest of the world in celebrating Eid with prayers, charity, and family gatherings.
