Iran has issued a strong message to Muslims across the world, urging solidarity against what it describes as “American–Zionist aggression” and calling on Islamic governments to support Iran’s resistance efforts.
Ali Larijani, highlighted the head of Iranian national security organisation, said the historical challenges Islamic republic has faced, including the assassination of a prominent leader of the Islamic Revolution and the deaths of civilians and military commanders during recent confrontations.
On February 28, the US and Israel launched unprovoked attacks on Iran, killing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several military commanders, as well as bombing an elementary school in which more than 160 pupils died.
Larijani described these acts as part of a strategic attempt by the United States and Israel to weaken Iran.
“Except in rare cases, no Islamic state stood alongside the Iranian people,” he said, emphasizing that Iran’s resistance and national unity have enabled the country to withstand these pressures and maintain its strategic position.
Larijani also criticized some Muslim governments for what he called contradictory policies, asking: “Whoever hears a man calling ‘O Muslims’ and does not respond to him is not a Muslim. What kind of Islam is this?”
He condemned nations that have declared Iran an enemy after it targeted American bases and interests in their territories, calling such positions a “flimsy pretext.”
"Should Iran simply stand by while American bases in your countries are used to attack Iran? They are making excuses. On one side of today's battle are America and Israel. On the other side are Muslim Iran and the forces of resistance. Which side are you on?" he said.
"Think about the future of the Islamic world. You know that America holds no loyalty to you, and Israel is your enemy. Reflect, even for a moment, on yourselves and the future of the region. Iran wishes you well and seeks no domination over you."
The message framed the current confrontation as a broader struggle between Iran and its regional resistance allies on one side, and the US and Israel on the other, calling the two nations "Greater Satan and Lesser Satan".
Larijani urged Muslim countries to choose a side and consider the long-term future of the Islamic world.
“America is not loyal to you, and Israel is your enemy. Iran is sincere toward you and does not seek domination over you,” he stated, stressing that the unity of the Islamic Ummah could guarantee security, progress, and independence for all Muslim nations.
Larijani’s statement is part of ongoing rhetoric from Iranian officials emphasizing resistance and regional solidarity in response to Western and Israeli policies in the Middle East.
Iran has pushed back strongly against the attacks, and has continued with retaliatory strikes against Israel and American assets in the Middle East.
The Islamic republic took out at least seven radars station in US bases in the Middle East, leading to the Americans fleeing deeper into civilian communities and bases of the host nations.
It has since closed the Strait of Hormuz to enemy nations and their backers leading to global oil crisis that threaten economies.
