Salam TV and Salam Charity have partnered with Honda Markh, a motorcycle distributor in Uganda, to support empowerment initiatives targeting low-income communities.

The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed during a meeting between Salam TV Operations Manager Sheikh Mustafah Mutuuhe and Honda Markh Managing Director Maria Namusoke Kamoga.

As part of the collaboration, Honda Markh handed over a brand new motorcycle to Salam TV to support the station’s community outreach activities.

The partners said the initiative will strengthen Salam Charity’s grassroots programmes, particularly during the Ramadhan period, by improving mobility for teams involved in community support work.

Maria Namusoke Kamoga said the company was pleased to work with Salam TV and Salam Charity to support community empowerment.

“We are excited to partner with Salam TV and Salam Charity to empower low-income communities,” Kamoga said.

“Our motorcycles are designed to last, with some lasting over 10 years, making them an ideal solution for low-income earners. Our tagline, ‘Power the Dreams,’ reflects our commitment to supporting Ugandans achieve their goals.”

Sheikh Mustafah Mutuuhe welcomed the partnership, saying the organisations share a common vision of supporting communities at the grassroots level.

“We partner with Honda Markh because we share similar agendas of empowering the community, and we know the grassroots low-income communities to start with,” he said.

Honda Markh operates a network of branches across the country, including Lugogo, Ndeeba, Banda, Kawempe, Masaka, Mbarara and Jinja.

The company also offers products and services such as water pumps, generators, digging machines and riding gear.
