The Buganda Kingdom Minister for Youth, Sports, and Talent Development, Ssaalongo Robert Serwanga, on Tuesday visited Essuubiryo Zambogo Sacco to review its operations, motivate staff, and encourage enhanced service delivery as the Kingdom works to strengthen the initiative.

During his visit, Serwanga commended the staff for their dedication and urged them to maintain the Sacco’s positive public image.

He stressed the importance of discipline, professionalism, and accountability, particularly in handling members’ savings.

He also cautioned against misconduct and called for firm but fair management of defaulters to ensure financial stability and safeguard members’ funds.

“I have come to encourage you and to let you know that we see and appreciate the work you are doing. We stand with you at all times to ensure that this institution continues to grow, attracts more members, and improves the quality of its services,” he said.

Serwanga expressed confidence that as development continues across various sectors of the Kingdom, Essuubiryo Zambogo Sacco will also experience steady growth.

He recalled that when the Kabaka inaugurated the Sacco, the vision was to instill in young people the values of hard work, saving, investing, and financial discipline.

He stressed that saving should enable members to achieve their goals, and therefore employees must ensure proper stewardship of members’ funds. He also encouraged both staff and members to exercise caution in financial dealings and protect themselves from fraud and theft.

The General Manager of Essuubiryo Zambogo Sacco, Gorreth Nassuuna, expressed gratitude for the Minister’s visit, describing it as a source of motivation for the team.

She said the guidance provided would strengthen their commitment to fulfilling the Kingdom’s mission of improving livelihoods and raising service standards.

Nassuuna also urged the public to join the Sacco and benefit from its financial services, including share acquisition, savings, loans, and other member-focused products.

The meeting was attended by Board Chairperson Joseph Balikuddembe, Buganda Kingdom Youth Coordinator Hassan Kiyemba, and other Sacco staff members.
