Minister Musasizi Meets Parliamentary Forum for Persons with Disabilities on 12th Parliament Priorities
Minister of State for Finance Henry Musasizi held discussions with the Parliamentary Forum for Persons with Disabilities, focusing on funding gaps in the Child Disability Assistance Program and strategies to support about 37,000 children across Uganda.

The Minister of State for Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Henry Musasizi, met with the leadership of the Parliamentary Forum for Persons with Disabilities to discuss their priorities in the 12th Parliament.

The delegation was led by Alex Ndeezi, Member of Parliament for Persons with Disabilities and Chairperson of the Forum.

Discussions focused on funding for the Child Disability Assistance Program. Ndeezi highlighted that the initial funding gap stands at Shs15.6 billion, aimed at supporting about 37,000 children with disabilities across 151 local governments.

“The Ministry of Finance will continue to engage with the Parliamentary Forum of Persons with Disabilities to address the issue of supporting disability programs,” Musasizi said.
