The Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese, Paul Ssemogerere, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to all individuals and organizations contributing to the construction of an accident and emergency treatment facility at Nkozi Hospital.

Speaking at a thanksgiving dinner at Mestil Hotel in Kampala on Wednesday, Ssemogerere applauded partners, sponsors, and well-wishers for their support and pledged further efforts to mobilize additional resources to complete the project promptly.

“I sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to this noble cause. Your generosity is a true sign of solidarity and compassion, and we are committed to working even harder to see this project completed for the good of our people,” he said.

The Archbishop also acknowledged Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II and the Buganda Government for their continued work in improving livelihoods through education, healthcare, agriculture, and other development programs.

Ssemogerere urged road users to exercise caution, highlighting that many accidents in Uganda are preventable and result from negligence. He called on producers of the Kaliisoliiso program on CBS FM to continue raising public awareness on road safety.

The Second Deputy Katikkiro and Kingdom Treasurer, Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa, who chairs the Kaliisoliiso Dinner organizing committee, described the progress so far as encouraging.

He noted that further fundraising plans are underway to secure the remaining funds to complete the Nkozi Hospital project before moving to other priority initiatives.

During the event, Nkozi Hospital officials presented awards to members of the Kaliisoliiso Dinner organizing committee in recognition of their dedication and commitment to advancing the emergency facility, with the awards handed over by the Archbishop.
