Salam TV, in partnership with Stanbic Bank, has distributed Iftar packages to vulnerable communities across Uganda under its annual Ramadan initiative, supporting women, youth, and farmers with essential food items.

Salam TV, in partnership with Stanbic Bank, has delivered Iftar packages to Muslims across Uganda as part of its annual Ramadan initiative.

The campaign, themed “Empowering Women, Youth, and Farmers,” targeted vulnerable communities in Kyanja, Nakwero, Nakawuka, and Katta.

The packages included staple items such as rice, sugar, maize flour, cooking oil, wheat flour, and salt, providing essential support for those observing the fast.

Speaking at the distribution, Hajj Ali Lwanga from Stanbic Bank reaffirmed the bank’s long-standing commitment to humanitarian efforts.

“We have spent several years giving out Iftar packages, even before joining Salam Charity, to help those who may not be able to break their fast easily,” he said.

Abdussalaam, Country Director of Salam Charity, welcomed partnerships with organizations supporting humanitarian initiatives, emphasizing the foundation’s capacity to identify and reach those most in need.

The Ramadan initiative will conclude with a communal Iftar dinner, bringing together Muslims across Uganda to break the fast in solidarity.
