Salam TV’s Omumanyi wa Salam campaign, launched in October 2025, has officially concluded after traversing the country in a bid to extend the broadcaster’s services and directly engage communities across Uganda.
The nationwide initiative moved through multiple districts, culminating in competitive regional finals that produced standout winners from across the country.
In the western region, Ausi Mugisa emerged victorious and walked away with a brand-new motorcycle courtesy of Salam TV and Chapa General Enterprise.
The eastern regional finals, held in Iganga District, saw Ali Matsaad win an Umrah package sponsored by Salam TV and Maqam Travels.
In northern Uganda, Mahmood Khalid secured victory and was awarded an Umrah package, while Ibrahim Mugabe claimed the southwestern regional title and received a fully sponsored trip to Makkah and Madinah for Umrah courtesy of Tawakal Travels.
Central Uganda’s finals crowned Nansukusa Sulaina as regional champion, earning her an Umrah package provided by Salam TV and Misbaahu Travel Agency.
The national finals took place at Masjid Kasule in Wandegeya, where Nsamba Midraaj emerged as the overall national winner and received a brand-new motorbike. Bulobe Muhammad Haroun also secured an Umrah package sponsored by Salam TV and Makkah Madinah Hajj Services.
Organisers have now announced a grand finale that will bring together regional champions in a final showdown.
The upcoming event promises even bigger rewards, including a brand-new car from World Navi, a Hijja package from Muzaata Tours and Travel, a land title from Infotrust Property Consultants, and several other prizes.
The Omumanyi wa Salam campaign has been positioned as a community-driven initiative aimed at deepening Salam TV’s engagement with viewers while rewarding knowledge and participation across the country.
