Christopher Kibazanga, the minister of state for Agriculture has blamed the confusion and conflict in the Rwenzururu kingdom to indoctrination of the youth with messages of hatred.

He said this indoctrination had led the kingdom and its king Charles Wesley Mumbere into problems.

"The king has failed to lead us towards survival. He is being misled by some elements in the kingdom," Kibazanga said.

Kibazanga said that what happened in the kingdom in November 2016 could have been avoided if some people had exercised restraint.

He said if he had been the minister of Internal Affairs when the kingdom clashed with the central government, he could have used the same force to clamp down on some of the kingdom's loyalists.

The chairperson of the elders forum in Kasese district Bamusedde Bwambale said some of the trouble in the kingdom is being fanned by ignorant people.
