IGG, Auditor General Reaffirm Strong Institutional Collaboration

The Inspector General of Government (IGG), Lady Justice Naluzze Aisha Batala, has reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Office of the Auditor General, citing the partnership as key to promoting accountability and good governance.

Justice Naluzze made the remarks during a courtesy call on Auditor General Edward Akol, who praised the cordial working relationship between the two institutions.

“The collaboration has enhanced information sharing, reduced duplication of efforts, and promoted efficiency in the use of public resources,” Akol said, congratulating Justice Naluzze on her appointment as IGG.

Justice Naluzze thanked Akol for the warm reception and reaffirmed her resolve to sustain and deepen the partnership.

“I am committed to maintaining this collaboration as we work together to promote accountability and transparency,” she said.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two constitutional offices in the fight against corruption and the promotion of good governance across public institutions.

Justice Naluzze was accompanied by senior officials from the Inspectorate of Government, including Deputy Inspectors General Patricia Achan and Anne Twinomugisha.
