The Minister for the Presidency, Milly Babirye Babalanda, has urged NRM Sub-County Chairpersons from Busoga to intensify grassroots mobilisation, with a strong focus on door-to-door campaigning.
She made the call following a special meeting held at Okello House in Kampala where the chairpersons discussed strategies to strengthen party support ahead of the elections.
Welcoming them back from the meeting, Babalanda appealed to the leaders to implement the resolutions agreed upon and fully commit to mobilisation efforts.
“I welcome you back from the meeting and humbly appeal to you to implement what was agreed upon. The NRM national chairperson flagged you off to mobilise massively for the party and all its flag bearers in the region. Let us ensure that we register a landslide victory,” she said.
The minister emphasized the importance of transparency and integrity in leadership, urging the chairpersons to match their words with action.
“I urge you not to pretend like others. Do what is required and use the same tactics you employed to win the trust of voters. That is how we shall secure victory for the NRM presidential candidate and all our flag bearers,” she added.
Babalanda further called on the chairpersons to prioritise door-to-door mobilisation in the remaining days leading up to 15 January 2026, noting that direct engagement with voters remains the most effective strategy at the grassroots level.
