It was a full court room in Arua High Court on Friday as Kassiano Wadri defended himself against charges of inciting violence. The Arua Member of Parliament Wadri is battling National Resistance Movement's Nusura Tiperu's challenge to his victory.

On Thursday, Tiperu had told court, in her election petition, how Wadri mobilised supporters to attack her camp though he was not present on the scene himself. Tiperu claimed that at least 100 of her supporters had been injured in the clashes leading to the contentious by-elections.
Tiperu accused Wadri of ferrying supporters from other consituencies who beat and stoned her camp. She said Wadri was assisted by associates like Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi and Mityana MP Francis Zaake.

She also accused the Electoral Commission, which handled the election process, of incompetence and bias. Several witnesses backed up Tiperu's claims adding that they had seen a Noah ferrying Wadri's supporters from Terego County where he was formerly an MP.
In the dock, Wadri firmly denied all the charges. Wadri denied that he incited his supporters to attack Tiperu's camp. He said that he followed the approved Electoral Commission map in regard to times and venues for rallies.
The second respondent, the Electoral commission was represented by the District Returning Officer Ruth Angom and her assistant Arinaitwe Michael who were also cross examined.
