Independent parliamentary candidate for Kawempe South, Kyagulanyi Musa, has reaffirmed his commitment to transformative and energetic leadership, emphasizing youth-driven solutions to the constituency’s challenges if elected on 15 January 2026.

Speaking during the Kawempe South Parliamentary Debate hosted by NBS Television on Sunday, Kyagulanyi applauded the broadcaster for providing a platform where candidates could openly share their visions and engage directly with the electorate.

“I thank NBS Television for the opportunity to gather us here as candidates to share our ideas. I believe that, among all of us, I am the youngest, with the strength and tenacity to take Kawempe forward,” he said.

Kyagulanyi highlighted the need for fresh leadership, noting that Kawempe South requires leaders who understand the realities faced by youth, informal workers, and families struggling with unemployment, poor infrastructure, and limited access to essential services.

He stressed that his candidacy is rooted in community engagement, accountability, and practical solutions tailored to the everyday needs of residents.

Kyagulanyi will face Nansubuga Fatima of the Democratic Front (DF), Faisal Ddamulira of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu of the National Unity Platform (NUP), Ssekungu Hassan of the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF), Madina Ntale Nsereko of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), Dafala Ssekanjako of the Common Man’s Party (CMP), as well as independent candidates Muhammed Ssenyonga, Roy Ssemboga, and Umar Nsubuga.
