Bobi Wine  Promises Improved Services in Ibanda

The National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has pledged to enhance service delivery and promote national unity if elected president of Uganda.

Kyagulanyi made the commitment while addressing supporters during a campaign rally at  Nyakatete Primary School playground in Ibanda District on Saturday .

He  emphasized that his leadership would prioritize efficient service delivery, particularly in sectors that directly affect the lives of ordinary Ugandans.

“Our people deserve better services. We shall focus on improving road infrastructure and health services because these are critical to the wellbeing and productivity of Ugandans,” Kyagulanyi said.

He also highlighted the importance of national unity, promising to end tribalism and discrimination in governance.

“Uganda belongs to all of us. My government will not discriminate against anyone on the basis of tribe, religion, or region. We must live and work together as one people,” he told supporters.

Kyagulanyi further pledged to strengthen cooperation between civilians and security agencies, noting that harmony between citizens, the police, and the army is essential for lasting peace and stability.

“The security forces are our brothers and sisters. We want a country where citizens and security agencies work together to protect lives, rights, and property,” he added.

The NUP leader also reaffirmed his commitment to human rights and fundamental freedoms, promising to advocate for the release of all political prisoners, specifically mentioning veteran opposition figure Dr. Kizza Besigye.

“No Ugandan should be in prison for expressing their political views. We shall work for the freedom of all political prisoners, including Dr. Kizza Besigye,” Kyagulanyi said.

Kyagulanyi’s campaign stop in Ibanda is part of his broader nationwide tour aimed at mobilizing support ahead of the forthcoming presidential elections.
