Museveni Appoints Anguzu as New DPP
Anguzu has served in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for several years and has also headed the International Crimes Department.

President Museveni has appointed Lino Anguzu as the new Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The appointment was announced on Tuesday by the Senior Press Secretary to the President, Sandor Walusimbi.

“H.E. Kaguta Museveni has appointed Mr. Lino Anguzu as the new Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP),” Walusimbi said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Mr. Anguzu, who has been serving as Assistant DPP since 2019, replaces Justice Jane Frances Abodo, who was recently appointed Principal Judge.

“The President has forwarded his name to Parliament’s Appointments Committee for approval,” Walusimbi added.

Anguzu has served in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for several years and has also headed the International Crimes Department.

He is well known for handling several high-profile cases, particularly those involving terrorism, treason, and other serious transnational crimes.
