Garuga | Rotary and Rotaract District 9214, which brings together members from Uganda and Tanzania, has celebrated a major milestone — 100 Days of Impact — with a colourful event hosted by the Rotary Club of Garuga.
The celebration brought together more than 100 clubs to reflect on shared achievements, community impact, and a renewed commitment to Rotary’s core value of “Service Above Self.”
Led by the Action Presidents from across the district, the gathering served as both a reflection on progress and a call for deeper collaboration among clubs.
It showcased impactful service projects in education, health, environmental protection, and youth empowerment carried out across the two nations.
Over the 100-day period, clubs under District 9214 have implemented life-changing initiatives, including installing clean water systems, donating medical supplies, supporting underprivileged families, and fostering youth leadership.
District Governor Christine Kawooya Kyeyune praised members for their dedication and unity, describing the event as “a celebration of service, fellowship, and impact across Tanzania and Uganda.”
She urged Rotarians and Rotaractors to uphold Rotary’s enduring motto, “Service Above Self.”
“Our strength lies in service and in the spirit of togetherness,” Kawooya Kyeyune said. “Let’s build on this momentum by creating more clubs, expanding our reach, and touching more lives.”
As the celebrations concluded, members departed Garuga inspired to turn the next 100 days into an even greater period of service and compassion — a testament to Rotary’s unwavering mission of doing good in the world.
