In an effort to better understand customer preferences and market demand, bakers across the country have organised an annual Bakers Mentorship Conference, scheduled to take place on October 19th, 2025, at the Lugogo UMA Grounds in Kampala.
The conference aims to bring together professional and upcoming bakers to share skills, business strategies, and industry innovations that can help improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
According to Juliet Banjancy, the Manager of SME Banking at Centenary Bank, the initiative plays a vital role in promoting employment and transforming lives through inclusive and financial support for bakers across the country.
“We believe that empowering bakers with both financial knowledge and access to credit facilities is key to growing small and medium enterprises,” Banjancy noted.
One of the participants, baker Sarah Andinda, said the mentorship conference is open to all bakers, including those running baking schools, to ensure that knowledge and skills are shared widely within the industry.
“This platform gives us a chance to learn, connect, and improve not just our businesses but also the quality of training we offer to students,” Andinda explained.
The Bakers Mentorship Conference is expected to attract hundreds of participants and exhibitors from across Uganda, offering a unique space for networking, learning, and collaboration among baking professionals.
