Kampala is set to relaunch its long-awaited city festival on 5th October, a one-day event celebrating the capital’s people, culture, and diversity.

Organised by the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), the festival will feature music, food, cultural displays, and activities for all ages.

KCCA Executive Director Sharifah Buzeki said preparations are in full swing and encouraged residents to attend.

“We invite all Kampala residents to come and join in the celebration. The festival is a chance for everyone to enjoy the city’s rich culture and community spirit,” she said.

Addressing concerns about public safety, Buzeki assured the public that security measures are in place to guarantee a safe environment for all attendees.

“We have coordinated with law enforcement and other security agencies. Residents can enjoy the festival knowing that safety is a top priority,” she added.

The festival is free to the public and aims to strengthen community engagement while showcasing Kampala as a vibrant and inclusive city.
