Speaker of Parliament Anita Among held talks with South Korea’s Ambassador H.E. Park Sung-Soo and a delegation of Korean MPs, emphasizing stronger parliamentary cooperation and investments in Uganda’s health, education, water, and sanitation sectors.

Parliamentary diplomacy and bilateral cooperation were at the forefront of discussions when Speaker Anita Among met with South Korea’s Ambassador to Uganda, Park Sung-Soo, who was accompanied by members of the Korean National Assembly.

During the meeting, Speaker Among lauded the Korean government for its strategic development partnership with Uganda, particularly in the health, education, water, and sanitation sectors.

"We encourage you to remain good friends of Uganda. As we strengthen the parliamentary and diplomatic cooperation between the two countries, let us also work together to invest more in the health sector for sustainable development," she said.

On his part, Amb Park proposed that the Ugandan government establish an embassy in the Republic of Korea to deepen diplomatic engagement.
